Harley-Davidson® Men’s FXRG-3 Waterproof Black Leather Boots D98304
Boots are an critical part of everyone’s riding gear. Some people prefer tennis shoes, or cowboy boots but if you ride in the cold and rain enough you need a great set of waterproof riding boots. After literally a dozen different riding boots, I found these. Not only are they waterproof but they are incredibly comfortable and warm.
These boots are very waterproof. I am on my second pair with 100,000 miles on the first pair. They never leaked even in torrential rain for hours. They also do an excellent job at keeping my feet warm during temperatures below 30F degrees for several hours riding. When you get off the bike you will be very pleased at how incredibly comfortable they are. I often wear them as my “normal” shoes because they are so comfortable. You will have no issues standing in them for hours, or walking around vendors at a show etc.
They have a great look to begin with but as with all black leather boots unless you keep them up they will fade and be more gray than black. They still function great this way. I was horrible at keeping mine up; I think I used some leather conditioner on them once in 100,000 miles. The little black metal bar Harley logo on the last rung of your shoelaces is pointless. It’s spends half its time flipped around so you cannot read the design and it quickly loses its black paint. It’s pretty much a useless piece of metal and should just be eliminated from the design. It has no impact on the actual performance of the boot.
100,000 miles in AZ heat, WA rain and cold. I never really took care of them and they finally started to separate from the sole and lose some of the threads in the side. Had I actually taken care of them they would probably still be working great, but I figure if I can get 100,000 miles out of every pair of riding boots I buy with no effort spent on my part, that seems like a great deal.
