Long Johns

FREEZE-OUT® Men’s Long Johns

When it’s cold out but no chance of rain, often all you need is some long johns under your jeans to block the cold and wind and you can ride in comfort. I started out with Under Armor like many riders and it was okay, not great. Then I discovered the Freeze-Out gear line and began testing out all the different products they make. In my opinion some are junk but some are amazing. The long johns fall into the amazing category. Warmer than multiple layers of under armor at a fraction of the cost. The Freeze-Out line is sold through Cycle Gear.

Performance

I ride in jeans with Freeze-Out long johns under them consistently in weather that is 35-55 degree’s. It’s is truly impressive how these block all the wind/cold and retain your body heat. The seams are flat and very comfortable. The heel straps work great at keeping them from ever shifting up your leg and you cannot feel them in your shoes at all. Easy to put on and off when needed. Wearing these long johns changed my gear selection across the board, they are really that good.

Appearance

Not much to say in this section, they are black with the Freeze-Out blue line on the side and waist band. You cannot see them, but if you decide to lounge around the house in them, they look good.

Durability

I own three pairs that I rotate since I ride so much. Between the three pairs I easily have 60,000 miles of usage wearing them on my bike. They work the same today as the day I bought them. No visible wear. The elastic waist is in great shape still and the heel straps seem to hold up through the wear and tear.
